Naturopathy
Shuddhi-Kriya is another name for Yogic Kriyas. Kriya Yoga is a method that ancient yogis discovered to cleanse and eliminate impurities that are stored in the body's internal and external organs. The full benefit of Asana-Pranayama is not attained without physical purification.
Internal Cleansing
Vamana: Induced vomiting to remove excess mucus and toxins from the upper respiratory tract and stomach.
Virechana: Purgation to eliminate toxins from the gastrointestinal tract.
Basti: Enema to cleanse the colon.
Niruha Basti: Medicated enema to remove toxins from the colon and improve digestive health.
Anuvasana Basti: Oil enema to lubricate the colon and alleviate constipation.
External Cleansing
Abhyanga: Daily oil massage to nourish the skin, improve circulation, and reduce stress.
Swedanam: Sweating therapy, such as steam baths or saunas, to eliminate toxins through the skin.
Udwarthanam: Dry powder massage to exfoliate the skin, improve circulation, and reduce cellulite.
Nasya: Instillation of medicated oil into the nostrils to cleanse the nasal passages and sinuses.
Mental and Spiritual Cleansing
Pranayama: Breathing exercises to regulate the flow of prana (life force) and purify the mind.
Meditation: Mindfulness practices to calm the mind, reduce stress, and improve focus.
Japa: Repetition of mantras to purify the mind and connect with the divine.
